Relationships Between Antennas as Scatterers and as Radiators

چکیده
dN The field scattered by an antenna contains a component that is the short circuit scattered field normalized by the short circuit current, and a second component that ls the radiation field normalized by the transmitting current and multiplied by a factor (1 r). RCS is the magnitude squared of the difference between two terms, one being the square root of a complex "structural" cross section, and the other (1 r) times the square root of a complex "antenna" cross section. These relationships, and the role of the load impedance are clarified. The connection between antenna directivity and load effective receiving area is also derived.

A Data Focusing method for Microwave Imaging of Extended Targets
This paper presents a data focusing method (DFM) to image extended targets using the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm. The restriction on the number of transmitter-receiver antennas in a microwave imaging system deteriorates profiling an extended target that comprises many point scatterers. Under such situation, the subspace-based linear inverse scattering methods, like the MUSI...
متن کاملTv and or Fm Transmitting Antennas Desien Using Computer Graphic System (RESEARCH NOTES)
The purpose of this paper is three fold. First, the major theoretical pattern relationships of TV and/or FM transmitting antennas are dealt with. Secend, the computer calculation method and designing of such patterns using the given relationships. And third, a method in which a computer graphic system can be used to design such antennas for a specific pattern is introduced and its results are p...
متن کاملMulti-band Internal antenna for DVB-H and GSM services
The digital video broadcasting-handheld (DVB-H) service is a new standard for delivering live broadcasting television to handheld terminals and it utilizes UHF bands IV and V (470-862 MHz). However, since the upper limit of the DVB-H frequency band is within a measurable distance of the lower limit of the GSM 900 frequency band, the upper limit will probably be restricted to channel 49 (698 MHz...

A tutorial review of techniques used for the measurement of near-fields of antennas and scatterers, and an extensive bibliography of the readily available literature in this area, are presented.
متن کاملCorrelation of Signals at Spaced Antennas in Fixed Meteorological Radars
This paper derives a general analytical expression for the correlation coefficient of signals received by two identical spaced antennas in a radar system used to detect meteorological phenomena such as rain and clouds. Such a correlation coefficient is found as a function of the relevant physical parameters, namely distance between antennas (baseline distance), signal bandwidth, and antenna dir...
